I seriosly have the best job in the world!

When I am working i am constantly surrounded by happy exuberant friendly people! I mean it is pretty rare for anyone to be mean or unhappy on their wedding day right? I love my coworkers, I love the company, i love Jesus who made everything happen and fall into place! God is sooo good. I love making people feel beautiful inside and out! <3

For the past couple weeks I have been trying to figure out how i can expand my makeup kit without feeling like its overflowing. While i was doing so, i noticed that i carry a lot of MAC products....So i asked myself why the heck do i have so much MAC products? I mean i LOVE Nars, bobbibrown and urban decay.... and then i compiled a list of why MAC cosmetics is the bomb dot com!

As a makeup artist i buy alot of products from them and its just so good to know that when I'm done with a product i can put it away until i save up 6 empty containers and get a free lipstick, lip gloss, or eyeshadow. So instead of throwing it away like i do with all my other products once i am done with them i can get something back later!

 2. I just really love all of their products! I have been shopping at MAC for YEARS now and i think i can finally say that i have tried about ALL of their products and really love everything.  They just really have a wide selection of textures and colors. I love that they have a large variety. They have products that work on pretty much most skin types so i don't have to buy a million products to apply on different customers. Their customer service is just really warm and accommodating.



3. Lipsticks. They are my FAVORITE! i love the smell of their lipstick. For some reason when i buy lipstick I'm very big on the smell. Lips are right under your nose so when i feel like a lipstick smells weird or bad it bugs me THE WHOLE day... 
There's a HUGE variety of color, textures, and finishes to choose from! LOVE THEM ALL!!!

4. Lip glosses: Although they are on the stickier side, they manage to stay in place allll day. I do not like to waste time during my day reapplying lip gloss every time i eat or do anything... i feel like MAC lip gloss you don't need to keep reapplying throughout the day which is really strange because ALL lip glosses usually come off after i eat... i guess that's when that super stickiness is a good help~

5. Eye shadows. I do not know anyone that does not love their eye shadows.... For the obvious reasons: super pigmented, They have a large selection of  textures and colors! and its always displayed so nicely ^.^ come to think of it... all the products are displayed pretty nice. I personally love all their colors! 




i am also very big on urban decay... i love urban decay eye shadows! they are so soft and sooo pigmented, but not a big a selection as MAC 


6. brushes. i think out of all the MAC brushes i have used MAC  and Bobbi brown have the best brushes. You really cant go wrong with MAC products.

7. Face products. Unless you have super sensitive skin and super prone to breakouts MAC is really great! Most of my clients aren't super sensitive, actually none of them are... I especially love Macs skin finish natural pressed foundation powders! they are AMAZING!  They also have a HUGE selection of blushes! that also come in different textures, colors, and finishes!! love love all their colors!

They also have great skin care products as well i absolutely love the fix+ spray! especially during the summer i keep that in my purse and during the summer when i would get in my car blast the AC and spray my face..BEST feeling ever.








8. ALL the pencils- regular and mechanical they re all great. Lip liners, eyeliners , eyebrow pencils! LL LOVE LOVE LOVE their eyebrow pencils. 






9. Eyeliners- They also have a large selection of colors also from super funky colors like neon blue to more 
classical colors like dark brown and black.



10. Packaging- not only are all the products really great and pigmented but they come in really cool packaging. Its not tacky looking or cheap but looks very classy~ love it~!!!

chinese red bean dessert

so this is not the classic chinese red bean dessert... one thing you should know about me, i effing love the freaking holidays! the moment i know summer ended im filled with glee because i know its Fall and that the holidays are all coming! i get VERY festive.... i start putting up my halloween decorations the end of september or when it starts getting colder. Oh and another thing that makes me SUPER happy about the holidays? all my favorite FLAVORS!!! everywhere! especially at starbucks! pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin skones and pumpkin bread all come out for fall!!! cant wait till winter too!!! i love love LOVE eggnog!

So anyways~ yeah i like the holidays very much. So i have been craving a red bean dessert recently i dont know why considering that i hated red bean, mung bean, green bean, white bean any type of asian dessert that had beans in it....i detested that stuff... But now that i am older i feel like its actually pretty good now... i think its just one of those things you have to grow up to love....

ok BACK to the dessert~ since i love the holidays alot i tried to incorporate the seasonal flavors with classic chinese dessert. So i took all the classic spices that you would use in a pumpkin pie with the red bean dessert recipe.

ingredients:
-1/4 cup honey
-1 tbs brown sugar
-1/4 tsp ground cloves
-1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbs cinnamon ( that was actually an accident since i turned around to get something and tara had just dumped a heap of cinnamon in)
-1 cup red beans
- 1/2 cup mixed grain rice
-1 tbs gogi berries
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds ( i think the recipe would have been better without the sesame seeds )

directions:
1. wash and rinse red beans. dump into the slowcooker.
2. dump all the rest of the ingredients into slowcooker.
3. let it cook overnight.
4. tommorow morning ready to eat! yayyyy
